Description

Communion of Saints, portrayed in one of the many prominent tapestries at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, California. The large tapestries depict 135 saints and blesseds from around the world, including holy men and women of North America canonized by the Church as well as many children of all ages. All the figures direct your eyes to the light of the great Cross-window above the Altar to the right where the Eucharist is celebrated.

The Communion of Saints, shown here, consists of females and males of all ages, races, occupations and vocations the world over (in a sense, this depicts the astounding cultural diversity of Los Angeles). Saints from the Renaissance are intermingled with people from the 1st century and the 20th century. It includes Pope John XXIII and Mother Teresa.

I have significantly modified the raw capture by reducing imperfections and blemishes in cathedral wall, and by enhancing the overall colors, beauty, balance and luminosity.
