A statue of Lord Krishna at the Self-Realization Fellowship, Pacific Palisaides, Los Angeles County, California
The Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine was dedicated by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1950. Many thousands of visitors come each year to enjoy the scenic beauty, serenity, peace and tranquility of this spiritual sanctuary and to meditate. The ten-acre site, with its gardens and natural spring-fed lake, is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including swans, ducks, koi, and trees and flowers from around the world. The grounds include a Court of Religions honoring the five principal religions of the world. Seen in this photo is a statue of Lord Krishna, surrounded by exquisite greenery and a tiny waterfall.
Below the statue is a quote from the holy scripture Bhagavad Gita: “He who perceives Me everywhere and beholds everything in Me, never loses sight of Me, nor do I ever lose sight of him.”
