Description
Vast fields of California Poppies (Eschscholzia Californica) as far as the eye could see, interspersed with tiny yellow Goldfields (Lasthenia californica) and minty-green colored Sagebrush (Artemisia californica), in western Mojave Desert, California. I was intrigued by the skeletal remains of a bush, providing a nice foreground element.
This is from a time when we had plenty rain in late winter/early spring, followed by sunshine, to stimulate wildflowers.
