Walt Disney Concert Hall Wall Abstract

This is a companion to my other Walt Disney Concert Hall photos (see my Los Angeles gallery), and shows a close-up of the fascinating walls of the amazing architecture by Frank Gehry.

The Walt Disney Concert Hall is a Los Angeles icon in downtown LA and is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. It has a dual personality, with a dreamy look on the outside with huge silvery panels that reflect sunlight and blue sky color. On the inside the color is golden.

The Disney Concert Hall opened pompously in 2003, with the outside curvy walls showing a symphony of peaks and valleys made of highly polished stainless steel. The curvy walls are stunning and offer lovely abstract compositions, as in this photo. I was attracted to this particular composition by the forms, colors and light.
